Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?Yes. I accept Aetna for eligible clients.
Insurance coverage varies by plan, so benefits should be verified before beginning therapy. If you're using insurance, we'll confirm your coverage and any expected copay, coinsurance, or deductible before your first session.
For clients with other insurance plans, I can provide documentation that you may be able to submit for out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your benefits.
Where do you offer therapy?I offer in-person therapy at my office in Universal City, with limited in-person availability in Sawtelle/West Los Angeles. I also offer online therapy throughout California.
Who do you work with?I primarily work with men and couples dealing with anxiety and overthinking, anger and irritability, relationship problems, communication difficulties, burnout, self-doubt, and questions about identity or direction.
You don't need to know exactly what you want to work on before reaching out. That's something we can figure out together.
Do you work with couples?Yes. I work with couples experiencing recurring conflict, communication problems, defensiveness, disconnection, and difficulty feeling heard or understood by one another.
My couples work is informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method.
How long are therapy sessions?Individual therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes. Longer sessions may also be available when appropriate.
Couples may benefit from longer sessions depending on what we're working on. We can discuss the best format during your consultation.
How much does therapy cost?Individual therapy sessions are $220 per 50-minute session. Couples therapy and extended sessions have different rates depending on session length.
Therapy is an investment of your time, energy, and money, and I want you to feel that the work we're doing is meaningful and worth that investment.
I also accept Aetna for eligible clients. If you plan to use insurance, we'll verify your benefits and expected costs before beginning therapy.
There isn't one predetermined timeline.
Some people come in with a specific problem they want to address. Others realize that what brought them in is connected to larger patterns they want to understand.
We'll regularly talk about what's changing, what's still getting in the way, and whether therapy continues to feel useful.
How long will I be in therapy? What if I've never been to therapy before? That's completely fine. You don't need to know how to "do therapy."
I'll help guide the conversation, ask questions, and explain what I'm noticing as we go. You don't need to arrive with a perfectly organized explanation of what's wrong.
What happens during the free consultation? The consultation is a complimentary 15-minute conversation.
You'll tell me a little about what's bringing you to therapy, I'll ask a few questions, and you can ask anything you'd like to know about working together.
It's not a therapy session and there's no obligation to schedule afterward. The goal is simply to see whether working together makes sense.
Schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation.
We'll talk briefly about what you're looking for, answer any questions you have, and decide whether it makes sense to schedule a first session.
